Kendra Martin is a wife and mother of three from Rochester, NY. She and her family currently reside in Raleigh, North Carolina. Kendra is best known for her published, “Exes and Excess” series.

What most do not know is that Kendra has been writing for over twenty years. Her earlier writings were centered around the spiritual empowerment of women. She never cared to have any of her work published until she penned ‘Exes and Excess’. It became her mission to publicly speak through her character Felicia.

Kendra, which is her pen name, has worked toward the enrichment and building up of women her entire adult life. Having worked in women’s ministry, she was privy to a lot of painful and disturbing experiences. But what stood out most of all was infidelity or other sexual issues. She was more disturbed by those silent about it more than anything.

Kendra’s hope is that through the “Exes and Excess” series, women will find freedom with sex. Freedom to talk to their daughters and sisters, and to answer questions candidly and honestly when asked. Freedom to speak with their spouses without reservation or fear. Freedom to fully embrace sex unapologetically, without the noose of it holding them captive and strangling their power of self. Kendra doesn’t believe sex is that complicated. She believes we’ve given it the power to render us speechless and embarrassed. So much power given to (in many cases) a five-minute event.

The Exes and Excess Series is a collection of fictional novels that are funny, erotic and eye-opening. The main character Felicia ‘grows up’ and has her share of missteps. Kendra invites you to take an adventure with Felicia and her friends, their ups and downs and the men in their lives.
